Love. I'm a fan.
As your wedding photographer my style is my clients' love. Their love for each other. Their love for their friends. Their love for their family. The love they put into planning their wedding. I want you to remember how your wedding day felt so when you look at photographs from your wedding you can recall what you were feeling right when that image was taken!
Be sure to scroll through all the images and see how I capture the entire day: from getting ready, to portraits, to the ceremony, to beautiful details through the dancing!
I love weddings. I love capturing an entire day and all the emotions throughout the day. Here in Minnesota we have so many beautiful options in any season to capture your day! Preserving a wedding day is an honor, and one I take very seriously. Before the wedding we have a complimentary engagement photo session. A large part of the engagement session is getting to work together prior to THE big day. We also communicate a significant amount about the timeline and what matters most to you on your day. I love forming relationships with each of my couples and really capturing the essence of who they are on the biggest day of their lives.
Take a look at the images and if you love what you see give me a call and we'll chat!
So the question was popped and they said YES! Oh, swoon.
Engagement is such a fun, exciting time. I love capturing the unique personalities and relationship of each couple. One of the things I really try to do during engagement shoots is take photos at a place that matters to the couple; sometimes it's where they fell in love, or had a first date or the home they created. No matter where we choose, getting those beautiful shots is a great chance for us to work together prior to you wedding day.
Family sessions are one of my absolute favorite types of sessions! Watching a family interact, a mom wipe food off kids faces, a dad jump up and down behind me to get a kid to giggle- it's a lot of fun!
I like to take time to talk about what to wear and planning outfits. One of the biggest things I like to stress is not to match, but rather to coordinate. Gone are the days of everyone in the same color shirt and jeans. In are the days of patterns, accent colors and fun accessories. Jewelry, scarves or a bow tie - I shriek (often times internal shrieks so I don't freak anyone out, though!) when I hear of these fun plans. I have set up Pinterest boards to help with ideas as the clothing choices play a huge role in the look of the photos.
Sing it with me (you know you will) "WE ARE FAMILY!"
Yup, I went with that cliche. Deal with it. Look at these images. What more could grandma and grandpa want? In these sessions we do a few large group photos, each family, cousins, adult siblings, couples and a ton of other combos.
Imagine it with me: that big wall above your couch - it's not so special right now is it? In one day we're going to create anchors for that wall that all coordinate. Then you can find fun frames in various sizes and have all these smiling faces to look at every day! Brilliant.
You've survived the first 18 years/they're graduating photos. Amiright?
All kidding aside graduation photos are a right of passage and your teen's chance fulfill their dreams of being a model (or for the guys a chance to make their moms stop nagging them.) I love getting fun, unique shots that you can frame and hang on your wall forever; or if you're like my dad until your child gets married and you replace the individual mug with a wedding shot. (shameless plug: think of me when your senior gets married and they need a photographer.)
I have spots all around Carver County that I love for senior photos. I've traveled to Red Wing, MN and as far as Emerald Isle, NC to get just the right shot. Summer and fall are really poplar times to get the photos in, but the white-washed Minnesota winters can be a fun alternative.
Minnesota, Carver County baby photographer.
That super adorable house of yours where your kiddos love to play -you should show that off in lifestyle portraits. We don't have to spend a ton of time fussing over getting the pose just right, instead you can act natural and read a story, bake a cake, play with toys and I'll be a little fly on the wall there to capture your every day life.
A few times each year we create a set either at the studio in Chaska, or a place nearby, where we can get clients in and out in a short amount of time for some seasonal photos. Often times mini sessions are great opportunities for families to get enough photos for holiday cards.
Last year my mom and family worked hard to set up their pasture in Waconia to get some fall photos. I've done a set in Wayzata, too. Be sure to like and follow KFFP on social media so you know when these minis will be scheduled.
