A girly newborn session in Chaska, MN

I spent the afternoon with a friend I first met in Kindergarten (we were two of four girls at the time!) and we went to the same high school and college even! Oh, she brought her new baby, too. Momma Crystal was flexible with the sets and told me she would like what I came up with as long as it was cute - so I brought my cute game and baby Mariah was the perfect little subject.

We started with a fun, modern birth announcement, used some crocheted items by my sister Shelbey (including a Hungry Caterpillar and little grey hat with a heart), used some fresh flowers and Crystal brought some special softball gear to show off her love of the sport. Turning my Chaska home studio into such girly scenes is one of my favorite parts of being a photographer. Browsing other talented baby photographer's sites (like www.jennifernace.com and www.lifeandblessingsphotography.com) is fun inspiration. Crystal came all the way from Hudson, WI for her session, and got to meet up with her mom, who also lives in Carver County, MN, for lunch before their session.

Thanks Crystal for bringing your babe in!
