Meet Miss Rochelle - isn't she just a doll!! She was so sweet, so easy to photograph and so relaxed. I was not at all surprised because that's just how her parents are, too.
This is a special family to me-I photographed their engagement, engagement party, wedding day and now their newborn. I can't quite explain how awesome it feels to be trusted to capture with all of those milestones. As a mom-to-be it makes me teary eyed, to be honest. Capturing families is such an honor. When it is with awesome people it makes it even better!
My approach to this session was different than previous newborn sessions. Rochelle was a little older than traditionally newborns are when they are photographed. She's almost four weeks, which is still so new, so it's crazy to think she'd be considered "old" or "big" for anything. But. I promise, it's true. So we didn't pressure her, or her parents (or me) to get into those bendy poses. We let her stretch out and then featured things in her home that meant something to her parents. I adore these photos and am excited to work on them more!
