The Gibbs family are a set of troopers! First we had to reschedule our session about three times due to sub-zero temps (thanks Minnesota winters!) and then the day of their session it was still pretty cold - about 20 degrees. They are all hearty Minnesotans and did great, especially little Parker.
We used the Luce Line trail and an adjacent park in Watertown for their photos. I grew up there and knew the area a little bit and it turned out Jon had lived there as an adult so they knew right where I was talking about when I suggested a "little bridge over the river kind of by the grocery store." It worked out really well. We did take a break mid-way through so everyone, including my camera, could warm up a bit.
I'm grateful for clients who are willing to be photographed in all seasons. Winter photos are some of my favorites! So clean and beautiful!
