Paige and Zeke got married on September 10, 2016 at Alice's Attic in Royalton, MN surrounded by close family and friends. It was a beautiful blue-sky day at their barn wedding and I could not be more happy for this couple! Their day was filled with sweet country details.
The day started in the loft of the barn where the bride, some of her sisters, her mom and her two maids were getting ready. It was laid back and simple. Meanwhile the groom was busy outside setting up yard games and the ceremony space. My second shooter and I took some detail shots and overall venue images while they finished up. I loved the space - it was rustic while being timeless.
The bride and groom choose to wait to see each other until Paige was escorted down the aisle by her dad. But she opted to do a first look with her dad and I will admit there were some tears behind my lens! I was able to get some portraits of the bride and her girls prior to the ceremony. Once the ceremony began I knew everyone there was in for something special These two both have large families and the ceremony was quaint and only their family was invited. Their ceremony spot was an adorable space between grain bins. Guests and the bridal party all entered the space under a rustic gate were greeted with a hay bale filled area where Paige and Zeke would exchange vows. Following the ceremony we took formal portraits with both sides of their families as well as the bridal party.
I snuck the bride and groom away for a little while so they could get some alone time as well as portraits of them! It is honestly one of my favorite parts of every wedding day. Getting the newlyweds away from the hustle, the busyness and the stress and letting the cuddle up to one another, kiss on command and just simply be.
Their dinner with family was followed by more people coming to celebrate the couple with a barn dance. A sweets table was a total hit, as was a popcorn machine. Many people played cornhole outside the barns and others kicked up their shoes and danced.
We had a blast with these two and wish them lots of love and togetherness!
