Fresh Face Friday {14/52}: 5 ways to show your Minnesota wedding vendors you appreciate them

Keighla Anderson April 7, 2023

Your Minnesota wedding day is one of the most important days of your life, and it wouldn't be possible without the hard work and dedication of your wedding vendors.

From the florist to the photographer, each vendor plays a crucial role in making your big day perfect. So why not show them how much you appreciate their efforts?

In this blog post, we'll share five creative and thoughtful ways to express gratitude to your wedding vendors that will make them feel valued and appreciated. Let's dive in!

Why Minnesota wedding vendors deserve love

When you think about all of the people who contribute to making your wedding day special, it’s no wonder why Minnesota wedding vendors deserve love.

From the planner to the videographer, these creative professionals help turn your wedding day dreams into reality.

Tip your wedding vendors on the big day

It's no secret that wedding vendors work hard to make your big day perfect.

Everyone, the caterer, hair and makeup artists, DJ, officiant: these professionals go above and beyond to ensure your Minnesota wedding is everything you've ever dreamed of.

So, how can you show your appreciation for all their hard work? Here are a few tips:

Tip your wedding vendors on the big day. This is one of the best ways to show your vendors that you appreciate their efforts.

A cash tip is always appreciated, but a venmo tip the next morning will certainly make your wedding vendor feel appreciated.

Another option is to give them a small gift. It doesn’t have to be anything expensive, but a little token of appreciation is always appreciated. Some great ones I have received were a coffee gift card, a small pamper kit, a water bottle and other similar small tokens.

If you really want to go above and beyond put the tip in a card with a sincere handwritten note. Hearing couples appreciate their wedding vendors makes us feel great at the end of a long day.

Post wedding photos and tag all vendors

After the wedding, post wedding photos and tag all wedding vendors. After the wedding, be sure to post some of your favorite photos on social media and tag all of your vendors.

Be sure to mention specific things that you loved about working with them and why you would recommend them to others.

This is a great way to show appreciation and support for the people that helped make your special day possible!

Feed your wedding vendors a full meal

When it comes to your wedding day, you want everything to be perfect. That includes making sure your vendors are well-fed and taken care of.

Many couples forget that their vendors are working hard all day long to make their wedding day special. So, it's important to show your appreciation by feeding them a full meal.

This doesn't mean you have to spend a fortune on catering. But, you should make sure there is enough food for everyone and that it's something your vendors will enjoy.

For example, if you're having a BBQ wedding, make sure there's plenty of food for the vendors as well.

They'll appreciate it and it will help them stay focused and energized throughout the day.

If you want to really take great care of them ask them what they'd like when gathering RSVPs.

It really makes the day feel great as a wedding photographer to know my couple wants to make sure I will have a meal I like.

Tell your family and friends to hire your Minnesota wedding vendors, too

Ensuring your big day is everything you want it to be you go to great lengths to the wedding vendors you hire to help make your big day special.

Here are a few ways to show your appreciation for your Minnesota wedding vendors:

1. Tell your family and friends to hire them, too! The best compliment you can give is referrals.

2. Leave a review on their website or social media page. A positive review can go a long way in helping a vendor’s business grow.

After your wedding, be sure to leave positive reviews for your vendors on popular wedding sites like The Knot and WeddingWire.

3. When you see social media posts asking for wedding vendor recomendations make it easy for people to find who you are suggesting. A profile tag or website or phone number is so fantastic.

These reviews can help other couples choose the right vendor for their own weddings.

By showing your appreciation for your vendors, you’re not only helping them out, but you’re also ensuring that you’ll have a great team to work with again in the future!

Thank them publicly: speech, social media, formal reviews

When it comes to showing your wedding vendors you appreciate them, one of the best things you can do is thank them publicly.

This can be done in a number of ways, such as through a speech at your reception, a post on social media or even a formal review.

Filling artists' buckets is such a cool way to show them how cool you really think they are.

Including your Minnesota wedding vendors by name in your "thank you" speech at your reception is a very direct way to give them a round of applause.

Post a photo anytime and tag that wedding vendor. Months or even years later it's great to show them how what they did on your wedding day still matters.

No matter how you choose to do it, take the time to express your gratitude to your vendors in a public way.

They will certainly appreciate the recognition, and it will go a long way in solidifying your relationship with them.
