As a wedding professional, I often get asked for advice on everything from how to pick a good videographer, if I know hair and make up artists or other other wedding vendors to what kind of timeline to follow on the big day.
While I could go on (and on!) about all the details that go into planning a wedding, I wanted to share a few of my favorite tips for making sure your wedding day is everything you hoped it would be.
1) Start with a solid foundation: Before you start planning any details, sit down with your fiancé and talk about what kind of wedding you both envision. This will help you determine things like budget, guest list size and overall style.
2) Do your research: Once you have a good idea of what you want, start doing some research. Read articles (like this one!), look at Pinterest boards, and talk to friends who have been married recently. The more information you have, the better decisions you’ll be able to make.
3) Make a plan: Once you have an idea of what you want and what’s possible, it’s time to start putting together a plan. This should include things like setting a budget, booking vendors and creating a timeline for the big day.
4) Don’t sweat the small stuff: It’s easy to get caught up in the details of planning a wedding, but try not to stress too much about things that don’t really matter in the end.
What is Fresh Face Friday?

If you're in the process of wedding planning, you've probably realized that there are a lot of moving parts and people involved in making your big day happen. From booking your venue to hiring a photographer, there's a lot to think about!
Today, I'm sharing some vendor tips to help make the wedding planning process a little easier.
When it comes to wedding vendors, it's important to do your research and find professionals that you feel comfortable with and who fit your vision. When I get an inquiry as a Minnesota wedding photographer I am also looking to see if I connect and jive with the couple.
It is important to me that I am able to connect with my couples and they're able to connect with me. We spend a lot of time together on one of the biggest days of your life so we should defenitely at minimum like each other.
Once you've found a few potential vendors, be sure to read reviews and meet with them in person or virtually before making any final decisions.
It's also important to communicate your vision for your wedding day with your vendors. Share your ideas for décor, color schemes, and overall atmosphere so that they can provide services that will help bring your vision to life.
Finally, don't forget to ask your vendors for their advice! They've been through this before and likely have some great insights that you may not have considered.
Trusting their expertise will help ensure that everything comes together perfectly on your big day.

What to expect: tips for wedding planning
When it comes to wedding planning, there are a lot of things to take into consideration. From the big items like booking a venue and hiring a photographer, to the smaller details like what kind of favors you want to give your guests, it can all seem a bit overwhelming. But don't worry, we're here to help and share wedding vendor insights!
Here are some quick tips to make wedding planning a breeze:
1. Make a budget and stick to it. This is probably the most important tip when it comes to wedding planning.
There are a lot of ways to save money when planning a wedding, so do your research and find ways to cut costs where you can.
I have "splurge" and "save" blog posts planned! I am really excited for those ones!
2. Start planning early. The sooner you start planning for your wedding, the better! This will give you more time to find deals on vendors and venues, and it will also help reduce stress levels as your big day approaches.
3. Delegate tasks. You don't have to do everything yourself!
Ask friends and family members for help with tasks like addressing invitations or setting up decorations. Delegating will help you stay organized and on track with your wedding plans.
Hiring some of those tasks out is sometimes the best use of your time and money!
4. Communicate with your partner. Wedding planning can be stressful, so make sure you communicate with your partner frequently throughout the process.
Discuss any disagreements you have and work together towards compromise. Having open communication will help reduce stress levels!
